Best Wind Direction -
SOUTH EAST, SOUTH, SOUTH WEST, WEST, NORTH WEST.
THE "P" Phenomenon. Frustrating Plett in summer sometimes. The wind and white cape's sit out at sea and after waiting a whole day for the wind to draw into the bay, it simple does or does not. If this is the case then go to Knysna as it can be breathless here and 20knots in Knysna. Bizarre.

We normally kite in the lagoon on easterlies. This is where we teach. You can ride out the mouth and play in the waves if you wish. This offers a flat water session and Wave session in one experience.

Robberg Beach below can offer a great session on an east. Long tacks! But onshore.

Natures Valley below can offer a South East or South session. Onshore & rocks!

FLOOD DAMAGE DEC 2008

Keurbooms beach is great on a South or South West. The wind must however come from the Beacon Island hotel in the distance. If the wind comes from the West parallel with the beach then it is very gusty. This spot normally works on a pre frontal or just when a cold front has passed through. It has been also a frustrating spot where the wind sits at the backline of the waves and does not get through to the beach. Strange place sometimes. This spot has shark and big waves!
Very pretty. Look for the first gravel car park on the Keurbooms road. Park car and walk down to rig. Nice showers and views.
